THE HEAVY COST OF OVERLOOKING OPPORTUNITIES
THE HEAVY COST OF OVERLOOKING OPPORTUNITIES
Blockbuster refused to buy Netflix (Netflix was literally laughed out of the meeting) for $50 million.- Netflix is now worth $64.7 BILLION. (And where is Blockbuster?)
MySpace rejected
Facebook’s original purchase price.
- Facebook is now worth $439 BILLION. (And where is MySpace?)
George Bell, then CEO
of Excite, refused to buy Google for $750,000.
- Google is now worth $641 BILLION. (And where is Excite?)
Ross Perot refused to
buy into Microsoft for $60 million.
- Microsoft is now worth $507.5 BILLION (And where is Ross Perot?)
When people say NO to
you, just keep going! You’re worth MORE than you know and your time is coming.
When they laugh at your
goals and dreams, let them laugh while you keep going.
Later they will be
telling everyone how they met you and wish they would have joined you!
The truth is, we don’t
even need faith in this company – it’s already proving itself – you just need
to go to work to make it work for YOU!
Keep YOUR journey in
perspective – and think about what it could cost you if you didn’t build YOUR
business!!!
CAN ELECTRICITY ENTER OUR BODY THROUGH THE FLASH OF DIGITAL CAMERA?
CAN ELECTRICITY ENTER OUR BODY THROUGH THE FLASH OF DIGITAL CAMERA?
Yes 100% it can
happen........
This is a true incident, which happened with a 21 years old boy studying engineering. He died in Keshwani hospital. He was admitted in the hospital in burned conditions.
This is a true incident, which happened with a 21 years old boy studying engineering. He died in Keshwani hospital. He was admitted in the hospital in burned conditions.
The
reason.......?
He went to Amrawati for study tour, while coming back, he was waiting for a train at the railway station along with his friends. Many of them were taking group photo with their mobiles with digital camera.
He went to Amrawati for study tour, while coming back, he was waiting for a train at the railway station along with his friends. Many of them were taking group photo with their mobiles with digital camera.
This
boy was also there and trying to take group photo. The place where he was
standing, complete group photo was not coming, so to get complete group photo
he went a little back.
The
place where he was standing, there was an electric wire with 40,000 volt. As
soon as he pressed the button of digital camera, the electricity of 40,000 volt
entered the camera through the flash and then the fingers and the whole body.
All
this happened in a fraction of few seconds and 50% of his body was burnt, later
on he died.
This
can happen with anyone as we all are using mobile phones. Are we learned and
responsible?
- Avoid using mobile phones at petrol pumps.
- Avoid using mobile phones when you’re driving.
“When
mobile is on charging don’t receive call”, 1st remove the charging
pin and then receive the call.
“When
mobile is on charge don’t put it on bed or wooden furniture”.
Please
don’t use mobile phone/digital camera-flash at railway stations or any other
place, where there is a ‘heavy electricity wire’.
Don’t
use mobile phones where there is high electromagnetic wave or near electricity
transformers, etc.
Don’t
use mobile phone in the rain during lightning and thunder and if you must, stay
far away from windows and doors.
This is for your safety......

MOST IMPORTANT ATTITUDE FOR LONGEVITY
MOST IMPORTANT ATTITUDE FOR LONGEVITY
THIS WIFE WAS ASKED IF
HER HUSBAND MADE HER HAPPY, HER RESPONSE WAS UNEXPECTED
What every wife needs
to read, understand and live in her marriage if she wants to build her home.
During a class at
Fresno Pacific University, a speaker asked one of the spouses in the audience.
“Does your husband make
you happy?”
At this moment, the
husband stood up straight, showing complete confidence. He knew his wife would
say yes, because she had never complained about anything during their marriage.
However, his wife answered
the question with a resounding “No.” “No, my husband does not make me happy”.
The husband was
baffled, but his wife continued:
“My husband never made
me happy and does not make me happy. I am happy.”
“Whether I am happy or
not is not dependent on him, but on me. I am the only person on whom my
happiness depends.
I choose to be happy in
every situation and every moment of my life, for if my happiness depended on
another person, thing or circumstance on the face of the Earth, I would be in
serious trouble.
Everything that exists
in this life constantly changes: the human being, the riches, my body, the
climate, my boss, the pleasures, the friends and my physical and mental health.
I could quote an endless list.
I need to decide to be
happy regardless of anything else that happens. Whether I own a lot or a
little, I am happy! Whether I’m going out or staying home alone, I’m happy!
Whether I am rich or poor, I am happy!
I am married but I was
already happy when I was single.
I’m happy for myself.
Other things, people,
moments or situations are experiences that might cause joy or sadness. When
someone I love dies, I am a happy person in an inevitable moment of sadness.
I learn from past
experiences and I live those that are eternal like loving, forgiving, helping,
understanding, accepting and consoling.
There are people who
say: Today I cannot be happy because I am sick, because I have no money, because
it is very hot, because it is very cold, because someone insulted me, because
someone stopped loving me, because I don’t know how to love myself, because my
husband changed, because my children do not make me happy, because my friends
do not make me happy, because my job is mediocre and so on.
I love my life not
because my life is easier than anyone else’s, but because I have decided to be
happy as an individual. I am responsible for my happiness.
When I take this
obligation from my husband and anyone else, I free them from the burden of
carrying me on their shoulders. It makes everyone’s life much lighter.
And that’s how I’ve had
a successful marriage for so many years.”
Never give anyone else
the responsibility to control your happiness. Be happy, even if it’s hot, even
if you’re sick, even if you do not have money, even if someone has hurt you,
even if someone does not love you and even if you do not value yourself.
THAT GOES FOR WOMEN AND
MEN OF ALL AGES.
COOKING GAS; THE DANGER WE LIVE WITH
COOKING GAS; THE DANGER WE LIVE WITH
Do you know that the
gas cylinder you live with in the kitchen is a time bomb, ready to explode any
time? Like the vehicle tyre that has an expiry date, do you equally know that
the Gas Cylinder has an expiry date?
Expired LPG Cylinders
are not safe for use, so please be careful. The expiring date is coded on the
side of the LPG Cylinder in alphabetical order, A, B, C, D in quarters.
A is for March 1st
Quarter
B
is for June 2nd Quarter
C is for Sept. 3rd
Quarter
D is for Dec. 4th
Quarter

| GAS CYLINDERS |
There are some two
digit numbers that follow, e.g. D06. The digits stand for the year the validity
expires, D06 stands for 4th Quarter (December) 2006. That is the expiry
date of that LPG Cylinder, so be careful to avoid domestic accidents.

MANAGEMENT LESSONS
Two Minutes Management Course (Worth Thousand Pounds)
Lesson One:
An eagle was sitting on
a tree resting, doing nothing.
A small rabbit saw the
eagle and asked him, “Can I also sit like you and do nothing?”
The eagle answered,
“Sure, why not.”
So, the rabbit sat on
the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped
on the rabbit, and ate it.
Management Lesson- To
be sitting doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
Lesson Two:
A turkey was chatting
with a bull. “I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,” sighed
the turkey, “but I haven’t got the energy.”
“Well, why don’t you
nibble on some of my droppings?” replied the bull. “They’re packed with
nutrients.”
The turkey perked at a
lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the
lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he
reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly
perched at the top of the tree.
He was promptly spotted
by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.
Management Lesson-
Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won’t keep you there.
Lesson Three:
A little bird was
flying south for the winter. It was so cold; the bird froze and fell to the
ground into a large field.
While he was lying
there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there
in the pile of cow dung, he began to realise how warm he was.
The dung was actually
thawing him out!
He lay there all warm
and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the
bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered
the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
Management Lesson-
- Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy
- Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
- And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!
IT PAYS TO HELP OTHERS
IT PAYS TO PAY OTHERS
In 1896, Thomas Edison,
the great inventor who invented the electric bulb, was working on an idea to
design a car when he heard that a young man who worked in his company had
created an experimental car.
Edison met the young
man at his company’s party in New York and interviewed him about the car. He
was impressed!
He had the same idea as
the young man but he was considering electricity as the power source while the
young man used a gasoline engine to power the car. He slammed his fist down and
shouted ‘young man, that’s the thing! You have it! I think you are on to
something! I encourage you to continue your pursuits!
With these words of
encouragement from the most highly respected inventor in the United States at
that time, HENRY Ford continued his work, invented a car and became wealthy.
On December 9, 1914,
Thomas Edison’s laboratory and factory got burnt. He was 67 years old and the
damage was too expensive for insurance cover. Before the ashes were cold, Henry
Ford handed Edison a cheque of $750,000 with a note saying that Edison could
have more if he needed it!
In 1916, Henry Ford
relocated his home to the building next to Edison’s home and when Edison
couldn’t walk and was confined to a wheelchair by his doctors; Henry Ford also
bought himself a wheelchair so that he could run wheelchair races with his
friend and mentor!
Thomas Edison made
Henry Ford believe on himself and got a friend for life!
Don’t ever be jealous
of other people’s success. If you can’t win a race, help the person in front of
you break the record!
Putting out the candle
light of your neighbour in the dark will never increase the brightness of
yours.
Your candle will not
lose its light when it lights up another candle. Getting the job done is more
important than who gets the glory!
Be inspired, speak
positively into someone’s life today, and possibly save a soul.
Ben Carson.
SAFE DRIVING TIPS
SAFE-DRIVING TIPS
WHEN IT IS RAINING!!!
GOOD VISION IN A
DOWNPOUR.
How to achieve good
vision while driving during a heavy downpour. We are not sure why it is so
effective; just try this method when it rains heavily. This method was told by
a Police friend who had experienced and confirmed it.
It is useful.......even
driving at night.
Most of the motorists
would turn windshield wipers on ‘HIGH’ or on the ‘FASTEST SPEED’ during heavy
downpour, yet the visibility in front of the wind shield is still bad.
In the event you face
such a situation, just put on your ‘SUNGLASSES’ and miracles!
All of a sudden, your
visibility in front of your windshield is perfectly clear, as if there is no
rain.
Make sure you always
have a pair of SUNGLASSES in your car. You are not only helping yourself to
drive safely with good vision, but also might save your friend’s life by giving
him this idea. Try it yourself and share it with your friends.....!!!
Amazingly, you’ll still
see the drops on the windshield, but not the sheet of rain bounces off the
road. Wearing sunglasses works to eliminate the “blindness” from passing cars.
Or the “kick up” if you are following a car in the rain. They ought to teach
this little tip in driver’s training. It really does work. This is a good warning.
I wonder how many
people knew about this.
Another good tip:
A 36 year old female
had an accident several weeks ago. It was raining, though not excessively when
her car suddenly began to hydro-plane and literally flew through the air. She
was not seriously injured but very stunned at the sudden occurrence!
When she explained to
the Police Officer what had happened, he told her something that every driver
should know – NEVER EVER ‘DRIVE’ IN
THE RAIN WITH YOUR CRUISE CONTROL ON.
She however, thought she
was being cautious by setting the cruise control and maintaining a safe
consistent speed in the rain. But the Police Officer told her that if the
cruise control is on, your car will in fact begin to hydro-plane. When the
tires lose contact with the road, your car will automatically accelerate to a
higher rate of speed, making you take off like an aeroplane.
She told the Officer
that was exactly what had occurred.
The Officer said, this
warning should be listed, on the driver’s seat sun-visor.
‘NEVER USE THE CRUISE
CONTROL WHEN THE ROAD IS WET OR ICY’
Along with the airbag
warning, we tell our teenagers to set the cruise control and drive a safe speed
but, we don’t tell them to use the cruise control only when the road is dry.
The only person the
accident victim found who knew this, (besides the Officer) was a man who’d had
a similar accident, totalled his car and sustained severe injuries.
NOTE:
Some vehicles (like the
Toyota Sienna Limited XLE) will not allow you to set the cruise control when
your windshield wipers are on.
